Over 100,000 feared dead

The army along with the government are understating figures. This estimate came in from the Edhi Foundation (Pakistan's biggest chiarity). There have been smaller Earthquakes, including one in Karachi today (4. some thing).

We're leaving on Sunday for Islamabad. Taking a bunch of antibiotics from here. Other than that, will buy stuff from there. Conditions are really bad...especially in small villages. Aid workers have reached large cities but the smaller towns have been ignored and will probably continue to be ignored. We're trying to take a few trucks worth of stuff to a few such villages.

Once we're up there, ill try and post pictures here. We've raised $6500 so far (thats a butt load when converted to ruppees). Atleast 2 truck worth of supplies. Thanks to everyone who donated!

Ali and I went to various donation centers. Army bases were turned into make shift donation centers. People in the thousands (and i mean thouands) were giving away masses of stuff - from milk, water, biscuits, to blankets, cell phones and cereal. I have never seen people give so generously before. At the base i was at, in 5 hours people have away enough stuff to fill four C130 aircrafts! (if u dont know C 130 are HUGE ARMY aircraft for transporting entire armies).

Also spoke to Faisal Edhi on the phone today (son of Abdul Satar Edhi - the man who runs Pakistans biggest chiarity and operates the worlds largest network of ambulances). He was like get whatever you can and come over. We need all the help. I've booked tickets for Islamabad. Waiting for money to come in from the awesome folks at BV, Mark and a few other advisors. Hopefully it will add up to couple of trucks worth of medicine, tents and blankets.

Once again heres the link to donate

Some of the XuQa team are here in Karachi, Pakistan. Up north a terrible earthquake (7.6) hit about 24 hours ago. So far 18,000 people are reported dead and this number is expected to double or tripple. Ali and myself are planning to go up North to donate supplies. We've raised a decent amount of money so far (from advisors, investors etc) but the more we get, the more we can do. Dollars when converted to Rupees go a long way.

There are hundreds of thousands of people whose homes (and everything they own) has been destroyed. Sparing like $10-20 for most of us is not an issue. Please do help out.

Click here to donate via paypal

We will keep you posted on how things develop.
