peanut poker a week away from release

We think Poker is taking the college world by storm. Or already has. So we went ahead and built peanut poker that you play with your peanuts, xuqa-style.

Click on the link above to try it out. You have to be logged into Xuqa. The poker is still in beta testing, but it works reasonably well.

Oh and did I add, lots of lovely ladies are doing poker too :) so what's stopping you?

I've been beta testing this for a week, and I have to say the latest version is pretty good!

Just two things that I think need to be added. One of them I talked to Prosper about earlier, so he knows what I mean...

1. There needs to be a max peanuts a user can bring into a table to start. 2,000 or 100x the minimum bet. So if you create a table, and make the min bet 100, then the max peanuts you can bring in originally would be 10,000. (since it is greater than 2,000). On the contrary, if you start a table with the min bet of 5... then you bring in 2,000 (since 5x100 = 500 peanuts).

The second option I would like to see is having the "minimum RAISE" amount equal to half the minimum bet amount. I just hate going through round after round when people raise by 1, not understanding the slider concept.

Other than that, good times!!

PS. What is Smartfox?

noah, thanks for the suggestions - we're definitely working on both of those issues, and your solutions are pretty spot on. they'll be fixed before poker is rolled out.

PS: Smartfox is a Java-based server that allows for flash multi-user applications to be run. It's cheaper than the stuff Macromedia sells, so way to go Smartfox :)
